Dragos Vingarzan is a senior researcher at the Fraunhofer FOKUS competence center NGNI (Next Generation Network Infrastructures).
Dragos graduated at the “Politehnica” University of Bucharest in February 2005 with a Diploma Thesis on the subject of service triggering in IMS, with a practical prototype implementation. During the 5-year study at the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers he followed the Computer Engineering program on base software, compilers and computer networks.
Between 1999 and 2004, he gained valuable hands-on experience as a full-time employee at various national ISP and Telecom Operators. During this period he acted as software analyst/developer as well as project development leader in various projects for network monitoring, provisioning, management, billing and VoIP deployments.
During 2004 he worked on his Diploma Thesis at Fraunhofer FOKUS, which represented the first milestone of the Open IMS Playground.
Since 2005 he is employed as a Scientific Researcher as the same institute, where he continued his work into the Open IMS Core Project, as well into feasibility and performance studies on NGN architectures.
Currently he is working on his PhD study in the area of IMS core networks, with special interests in prototyping, open source in telecommunications, performance benchmarking and interoperability. He is an active member of various IMS working groups.

Marius-Iulian Corici is a senior researcher at the Fraunhofer FOKUS competence center NGNI (Next Generation Network Infrastructures).
Marius received his Diploma in the Science of Systems and Computers – Computers Engineering from the “Politehnica” University of Bucharest, Romania in 2005.
He joined the Next Generation Network Infrastructures (NGNI) competence center of Fraunhofer FOKUS Institute in 2005. His research work includes multiple patent applications submitted in the area of IP network architectures and multiple publications in the area of Next Generation Mobile Networks in collaboration with various industry partners.

Alexandru Mihaiuc is a researcher at the Fraunhofer FOKUS competence center NGNI (Next Generation Network Infrastructures).
Alexandru graduated the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer Science at the “Politehnica” University of Bucharest, Romania in September 2009, where he followed the Computer Engineering program on systems software, compilers and computer networks. During spring - autumn 2009, he worked at NGNI on his diploma thesis in the field of federating Next Generation Internet experimental facility resources. Currently he is developing the client mobility management solutions for the OpenEPC toolkit.

Andreea Ancuta Onofrei graduated from the “Politehnica” University of Bucharest in 2008. Before, she worked as junior developer for Silcor, a security solutions provider and as software developer for VoiceSystem, an international Voice over IP (VoIP) software solutions provider.
In 2007, she joined the Fraunhofer FOKUS Next Generation Networks Infrastructures (NGNI), implementing a solution for VoIP networks monitoring, named SIPwatch as part of her Diploma Thesis. Currently, she is developing an emergency solution for Next Generation Networks and integration of the resource reservation mechanisms into the OpenEPC toolkit.

Jordi Jaen Pallares is a senior researcher at the Fraunhofer FOKUS competence centre NGNI.
Jordi obtained first a Bachelor in Science degree in Telecommunication Engineering with emphasis in Telecommunication Systems at the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya UPC in 1999. From 1999 to 2002 he worked in the customer support and research and development of SuSE Linux AG in Nürnberg (now Novell), then joined again the UPC for finishing his Master in Science in Telecommunication Engineering. He wrote his Master Thesis at the Fraunhofer FOKUS in the subject of security for adhoc wireless networks. Since 2006 he is employed as full time researcher working in EU funded as well as industry projects. His research fields embrace security and multimedia streaming for next generation networks.
Tran Quang Thanh received his M.Sc. degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Hanoi University of Technology, Vietnam in 2004.
Since October 2009, he has joined the team of Professor Magedanz at the chair for next generation networks, faculty of electrical engineering and computer sciences, Technical University of Berlin, Germany. He currently working in the area of Next Generation Mobile Network Infrastructure with special interested in security.Tran has hand-on experience in the field of computer network (monitoring, management, services and security). He has been member of VinaREN project (Vietnam Research & Education Network). Since 2008 he has focused in NGN Technology (OpenIMS, SIP). Currently he is member of the OpenEPC Project at the Fraunhofer Institute FOKUS competence center NGNI and working on his PhD study in the area of Next Generation Mobile Network security.

Valentin Vlad is a master student at the “Technische Universität Berlin, Germany, Faculty for Informatics, specializing in Communication Systems.
He received his bachelor diploma in Computer Science at the Technical University of Cluj Napoca, Romania in 2009.He joined the Next Generation Network Infrastructures (NGNI) competence center of the Fraunhofer FOKUS institute in 2009, focusing his work on the core network mobility aspects of the OpenEPC platform.
